Product Properties
Medium particle size,
The shape of the particles resembles a round brilliant cut; this design creates a seeming movement of the particles and a multitude of reflections when exposed to light, giving the nails a very intense shine.
The interlocking of the dust particles allows for the creation of a uniform structure that does not rub off, especially at the tips of the nails and on the free edge.
Very high particle density, resulting in excellent coverage (regardless of the color applied, the result is silver).
The particles are heavy and have low volatility, and do not rise up when poured (allowing for control over the product so it doesn't fill the entire work area).
Usage
Applying Quick Silver dust is an incredibly effective way to finish a manicure. It works great on any nail plate, and its greatest advantage is its versatility and ease of application. It can be used in many different ways, depending on the stylist's ingenuity and creativity. Here are two classic methods.
Applying to an uncured layer of gel polish:
- Paint your nails with your chosen gel polish,
- Cure in the lamp for 30 seconds,
- Apply a second, very thin coat of polish,
- Sprinkle Quick Silver dust on the wet layer of gel polish until a uniform, shiny surface is achieved (twirl your finger to ensure all the particles interlock),
- Gently tap off any remaining product and cure in the lamp for 90 seconds to 2 minutes,
- Dust off any remaining product with a brush.
Application over uncured Long Lasting Top Coat (allows for a longer-lasting effect):
- Apply one or two coats of gel polish to the nails,
- Cure in a lamp,
- Shine the nails with Long Lasting Top Coat, applying a slightly thicker layer,
- Sprinkle Quick Silver dust over the wet top coat until the texture is taut and uniform, with no visible wet spots,
- Shake off any remaining dust from your finger and cure in the lamp for 90 seconds to 2 minutes,
- Dust the entire nail surface.
Notes:
To ensure the durability of the dust on the tips, gently buff the front of the nail with a 240-grit buffing block. This will create a rougher, but much more durable effect.
Don't waste product. Place the Art Organizer under the stylized finger – a plastic trough that surrounds the nail and collects the dust as it is applied. After application, use a special spatula to pour the remaining dust into a container. This allows for economical and reusable use.
