There are many methods for using and applying nail dust, but no matter which one you choose, you'll always achieve a unique manicure finish. Amfa Foil Effect works perfectly on any nail plate, and its ease of application makes working with it incredibly easy and enjoyable. The stylist's skill and creativity determine how it's applied and the final result. Here's a classic method.
To apply a hot top coat:
- Apply the first coat of gel polish,
- Cure in the lamp for 30 seconds,
- Apply a second coat of polish,
- Cure in the lamp for 30 seconds,
- Shine with Long Lasting Top Coat or No Wipe Top Coat,
- Cure in the lamp for 15-25 seconds. (to fully cure the top coat),
- Apply nail dust to the hot top coat over the entire nail (you have 4-5 seconds to do this),
- Gently remove dust with a Slowianka Pinguin dust removal brush,
- Apply a glossy top coat, preferably Long Lasting,
- Cure in the lamp for 90 seconds to 2 minutes.
Applying a Baby Boomer or French manicure is the same as applying a hot top coat:
- After completing the design, polish the nails with a top coat.
- Rub the dust onto the hot, not-fully-cured top coat to create a smooth, sheen effect (the top coat should be well-leveled so the dust spreads evenly everywhere).
- Gently remove dust with a Slowianka Pinguin dust removal brush.
- Apply a glossy top coat, preferably Long Lasting Top Coat, as it provides the most lasting protection for the dust.
- Cure in a lamp for 90 seconds to 2 minutes.
Notes:
To set the design and prevent the dust from rubbing off at the tips, gently file the front of the nail with a 240-grit file. Then, remove any file scratches with a 240-grit buffing block, then a 260-grit buffing block, buffing the front of the nail and sealing its entire structure.
