The effect of microneedling
The Derma Pen uses needle cartridges that contain varying numbers of needles. These fine, medical-grade microneedles penetrate the top layer of the skin (epidermis), simulating an injury. This triggers the skin’s self-healing mechanism. The tissue regenerates, blood circulation is stimulated, and both metabolism and collagen production are boosted. The result is a gentle rejuvenation of the skin: it becomes firmer, more elastic, and visibly healthier. Furthermore, the skin is better able to absorb active ingredients from skincare products.

The Derma Pen can be used on both the face and the body. The penetration depth is adjustable, ranging from 0.25 mm to 2.5 mm. Estheticians are permitted to work at a maximum penetration depth of 1.5 mm. The speed can also be adjusted manually; the user-friendly handpiece features 5 speed settings and is crafted from durable aluminum. Additionally, the Derma Pen can be used cordlessly.
Speed settings:
Level 1: 1,200 punctures per minute
Level 2: 2,400 punctures per minute
Level 3: 3,600 punctures per minute
Level 4: 4,800 punctures per minute
Level 5: 6,000 punctures per minute
The Derma Pen can also be used for "BB Glow" and "Cherry Lips" treatments. In these procedures, color pigments are gently introduced into the skin using so-called "nano-needles."
