The Flux Max is a cordless tattoo machine and the result of years of development by FK Irons. This is the limited edition "May 4th Darksaber" version of the Flux Max, featuring a silver belt, red battery, and black housing.

The machine is powered by the upgraded PowerBolt II, providing tattoo artists with a refined user experience. It boasts a new, in-house designed motherboard with the latest technical features and additional electronic safety mechanisms.

The PowerBolt II features an OLED display for intuitive and user-friendly operation. The battery lasts up to 6 hours and is easily recharged via USB-C. We recommend using the included chargers or high-quality chargers to avoid charging issues.

The PowerBolt II's display and updated touchpad allow tattoo artists to access the menu to adjust various battery pack settings—all without the Darklab app. Menu options include:

Main power display – in Hertz (Hz) or Volts (V)

Secondary display – with an alternative unit to the main display
Voltage setting – display in 0.1V or 0.5V increments
Foot switch – Bluetooth 5.0 connection for wireless use with the Darklab Killswitch foot pedal
eGive – from level 0 (disabled) to 1, 2, and 3 (hard, medium, soft); the machine detects the voltage of the cartridges used and automatically adjusts the eGive
Timer – tracks session time (ideal for hourly billing)
Screen orientation – selectable for left- or right-handed users
Transport mode – “kill switch” to prevent the machine from being accidentally switched on while traveling, e.g., on an airplane
Voltage range: 4–12V Low voltage of 4V ideal for techniques like stippling.

The Flux Max is fully compatible with all FK Irons accessories and wireless devices, including the Darklab Killswitch and mobile app. The PowerBolt II can optionally be replaced with the original PowerBolt or PowerBolt+.

Made from 6061 T6 aluminum, the FK Irons Flux Max features a more tapered design than previous Flux models and a redesigned center ring. The taper shape is similar to the Xion Gorilla Grip but less aggressive. Diamond facets on the top of the handle add style, while the new grip design with indentations provides enhanced comfort and ergonomics.

Tattoo artists can use FK Irons disposable grips with the Flux Max, as well as the original Flux and EXO grips.

Compatible with universal Cheyenne-type cartridges. The smooth motor and reliable needle penetration system ensure optimal performance. Thanks to its front-heavy design, the machine glides smoothly through tattoo sessions, reducing fatigue.

This version of the Flux Max has a 4.0 mm stroke length. Included are two PowerBolt II batteries and a high-quality carrying case with a custom-cut foam insert.
