Shik Shak Base 557 by Slowianka Nail Trends is a hybrid base in a neon-pastel shade of intense blue with a hint of azure. Thanks to 90% pigmentation, it acts as both a base and a color, which allows you to give up an additional layer of hybrid varnish and significantly shorten the working time. The product belongs to the Pastel Muffin Base collection - all its shades perfectly match the varnishes from the Pastel Muffin collection, creating matching color combinations, and the equivalent of 557 Shik Shak Base is the color 90 Boom Bam. 

  • The base has a creamy consistency that is more runny than thick, which makes application light, comfortable and hassle-free. 

  • Thanks to its perfectly balanced thixotropy, the base levels itself and does not flow onto the cuticles, which provides full control during styling. 

  • Its low viscosity means that the product easily separates from the brush and spreads evenly on the nail surface, which significantly speeds up and makes work more enjoyable. 

  • The lack of air pockets has a positive effect on the durability of the manicure and shortens the time of styling, increasing the comfort of customers. 

  • Thanks to the pigmentation at the level of 90%, the base perfectly covers. For the best effect, apply thin layers of the product 0.5 mm 

  • The product works great when creating a structural Ombre and Princess Nails effect. 

  • The moderate hardness of the base strengthens flexible or thin nails and protects them from mechanical damage. 

  • Resistance to temperature changes guarantees the preservation of the structure - flexible rubber bonds make the base bend with the nail and return to its original shape without cracking. 

  • Excellent adhesion to the nail plate reduces the risk of lifting to almost zero - even in the case of problematic nail plate or excessive sweating of the hands. 

  • A durable, stable pigment maintains the colour for up to 4 weeks - you can additionally emphasise the shade by applying a colour from the Pastel Muffin collection. 

  • The base has been developed to minimise the burning sensation during curing. 

  • It is recommended that the product layer does not exceed 0.5 mm - in the case of larger build-ups, the application should be done in stages. 

  • Recommended curing time: 90 seconds, 

  • We recommend covering the base with the Pro White top coat,  

  • Do not expose the base to prolonged sunlight, as this may dull the intensity of the neon shade. 

Before applying the base coat, prepare the natural nail plate accordingly: 

  • Matt the plate using a 240/240 polisher or a 120/180 mini polisher from Slowianka Nail Trends, and then thoroughly remove dust with a Penguin brush. 

  • Gently lift the cuticles with a hoof or wooden stick, remove their excess with C-2 nippers or N-4 scissors, and remove the remaining epithelium with Speedy Remover. 

  • Prepare the free edge with a 240/240 file and degrease the entire plate with a cotton pad soaked in cleaner. 

  • To improve adhesion, apply a layer of Ultra Bond and wait 1-2 minutes for the preparation to evaporate. Then rub in a thin layer of Clear Strong or Rubber Base and cure it in the lamp for 30 seconds. 

  • The next step is to apply a thin layer of base – spread it evenly on the nail and cure for 90 seconds. 

  • If you plan to build, apply a second, thin layer of base (up to a maximum thickness of 1 mm) and cure again for 90 seconds. 

  • If the nails are evenly built, they do not require filing – just apply a top coat. Finally, rub in olive oil or Silk Repair Serum from Slowianka Nail Trends.
